Use a Master List
Keep a running list of all tasks you have to do. Just list them as you think of them regardless of priority. This will be your safety net and a place to "unclutter" your head with all the things you need to do. Refer to your master list daily and from here create your daily to do list. As you complete items, cross them off the list!
Utilize Vertical Space
When looking for additional space do not forget to look up at your vertical space. This tends to be the most overlooked and underutilized space.
Renting or Borrowing vs. Buying
If you have the opportunity to rent or borrow something rather than buy it, take advantage of that opportunity. In particular, video movies, games, music CD's and library books fit this category. Likewise do tools and machines. You should only consider purchasing items such as these if you plan to repetitively use them on a regular basis.
Organize Your Owner Manuals and Warranties
Keep all your owner manuals and warranties together in one place. An expandable file with alphabetical slots works well for this. File your items according to name...ie: Television would be filed under "T"; Dishwasher under "D"; Fan under "F" etc.. You should also attach your receipt to the owners manual being sure to identify date and location of purchase.
